Man City-Champions-League

The night did deliver a huge serving of brilliant passes, plays, and of course, goals.

The Champions League is renowned for being the show-piece of some of the best goals ever seen, and on the night we had 31 scored.

It wasn’t a bad outing for the English sides, Man City edged out Napoli at the City Stadium with striker Gabriel Jesus (9mins) and forward Raheem Sterling (13mins) with a goal each on the night. Napoli’s Diawarra added to the spectacle with a penalty (73mins).

Tottenham Hotspur stepped on to the famous Santiago Bernabeu to face the Champions, the mighty Real Madrid and got a point after a nervy start.

An own goal from defender Varane (28 mins) and a Cristiano Ronaldo penalty in the 43rd minute, ensured the teams gave good value for money, although the Madrid fans would have wanted a victory

As far as the night went however, Liverpool were the Champions League’s best team, routing Maribor of Slovenia, with some brilliant attacking football. 7 goals it ended, it could have been more.
