Kano State Governor, Umar Ganduje is the latest government official to be indicted for corruption, with the release of videos of him allegedly collecting bribe from contractors.
A third video showing governor Umar Ganduje collecting bribe from contractors has emanated and it is driving the entire social media space on fire.
The first two videos was released by Nigerian news platform ‘Nigeria Daily’ and it showed Ganduje putting some wands of foreign currency in the pocket of his babariga.
However, the buzz of this alleged corruption has been on-going for the last few weeks across social media platforms with several Nigerians calling on anti-graft agencies to start the investigations on the matter.
Getting to the climax of the situation, the publisher of ‘Nigerian Daily’, Mr Jafar Jafar heeded the call of the Kano State House of Assembly, presenting indicting evidence against the governor.
The drama is getting more interesting with the release of the third video indicating the governor of the same bribery offence, which has led to the call for his resignation or impeachment by a lot of Nigerians.
On social media has gone wild with comments, asking for quick investigations into the allegations levelled against governor Umar Ganduje.
Here are some comments gathered:
New Ganduje video out everywhere. Not on iTunes. The onus is on the Kano State Assembly to act on the matter while the EFCC get on with investigating the allegations pending the inevitable end of his immunity from prosecution. A further dent on the “anti-corruption” posturing.

If Kano State House of Assembly doesn't impeach Ganduje, also if the EFCC doesn't do anything when he leaves that sit then i will question the system…. For now the matter is in the hands of Kano State House of Assembly not President Buhari.

Ganduje needs to be HONOURABLE at this point. No need to hang on. Resign NOW!!!

Yes, this issue has a dent on Buhari & the APC. However, Ganduje is a sitting governor with immunity.
Buhari can only advise him to resign.
APC can only suspend him from the party.
EFCC can only investigate him not prosecute.
Only institution that can impeach him is Kano HOA. https://t.co/jVhm0ngWp4

Make no mistake, Ganduje is not the only governor collecting kickbacks. They are many.
Ganduje is the one caught now, and he MUST be impeached and then prosecuted.

Ganduje opened that mouth oji eri ji na ede and said that he didn't see money while he was a Deputy Governor. Wow, can you see the mind of a Nigerian governor? #GandujeGate

It's a shame about Ganduje. He had so much going for him and seemed the most effective regarding infrastructure and state development outside Lagos. Such a sad end for such basic, stupid greed.
I've never understood why a gov needs to steal.
There are 1m legit ways to make money.

People of good conscience in the APC should call on Kano State Governor, Abdullahi Ganduje to RESIGN NOW.

More evidence of Ganduje's Greed aka dollar collection operations. EFCC is in a coma till 2019 on this issue. But were quick to freeze Fayose's account while he was governor.
Just imagine this was Wike..Would the EFCC be this quiet on such an issue?
This is why Buhari has to go pic.twitter.com/1R1DAQvQ45

The moment Jafaar showed up in person at the Kano State House of Assembly, it became obvious to me that those who entrapped Ganduje are powerful and if he has any sense of decency left, he should simply resign and seek forgiveness from God and the good people of Kano State.
