Lewis Hamilton wins

Lewis Hamilton has won this year’s edition of the United States Grand Prix, held in Austin Texas.

The win means that Mercedes have clinched the Constructor’s Title, after their cars once again dominated the track.

Lewis finished ahead of his closest rival the German, Sebastien Vettel and Kimi Raikkonen both in Ferraris.

The race was not a walk in the park for Lewis as he had pass Vettel after losing the leading in early stage of the race.

In what turned out to be a very exciting race, Lewis Hamilton did not chase after his rival immediately upon losing the lead.

He stayed within pace of the Ferrari, and then after some brilliant driving, over took Vettel on the 6th lap at turn 12.

After he regained the lead, the Brit remained focused and one could argue a little bit tensed arguing with the team.

He questioned their decision to let him run 3 laps longer after Vettel’s pit as he(Vettle) was gaining on him.

The decision however was to pay off as Lewis after his pit stop and change of tyres drove off to seal the victory.

The win places Lewis Hamilton on top of the Driver’s Championship with 331 points Vettel is 2nd with 265 points

With 3 races left to go and 75 points to fight for, Vettel needs to win in Mexico and hope Lewis does not get to 5th.

However this permutation whilst still within the realms of possibility, seems unlikely with the form Lewis is in .

The Ferrari team really have come undone in the past 6 races, penalties and car trouble cutting their chances

This was meant to be the year that they push and over take Mercedes on both fronts of the sport.

In Vettel they have a recent former World Champion, and an experienced  winner in Raikkonen.

The car too at the start of the season and during preseason test was quick and ticked all the right boxes.

3 races to go, the racing really truly is promising a grand finale.
