It looks like Iker Casillas might be tempted to swap FC Porto for the Premier League.
The former Real Madrid goalkeeper and Captain is been targeted by Liverpool and Newcastle.
Reports in England have it that the clubs may look to bolster their ranks with Casillas.
Iker Casillas has made 167 appearances for Spain, is national record.
He was made the captain of the Spanish National team in 2008, in the role the team won EURO 2008.
Spain was also to win its first World Cup title in 2010, and retain the EURO crown in 2012.
By the 2014 he had represented the national side in 4 different World Cup finals, alongside Zubizarreta, Fernado Hierro, and Xavi Hernadez.
His career has been stellar to say the least and that is probably why he is sought after.
Nicknamed ‘Sans Iker’ (Saint Iker) because of his spectacular saves he has pulled over the years, the English Clubs may be seeking some of that magic in their teams.
Liverpool have a goalkeeping issue with keepers Mignolet and Karius not doing enough to instill confidence in both the manager, Jurgen Klopp and their team mates.
A commanding, respected figure like Casillas may be a missing piece of the Anfield puzzle.
Iker Casillas who is 36 currently, may consider a move, following a recent stint on the bench for Porto.
The keeper took to Instagram bemoaning his omission from the starting team against RB Leipzig in the last Champions League game.
Also in the running for his signature is the Newcastle manager Rafa Benitez, who despite having a decent goalkeeper in Rob Elliot, still fancies the Spain international.
