This weekend in the EPL would see some of the season’s biggest games being played.
On Saturday, West Ham will host Liverpool in a game that has history written all over it.
In the last 6 meetings in all competitions, between both teams, Liverpool have won just once.
That victory was an emphatic 4-0 drubbing earlier in the year, one that many West Ham fans would want to forget.
The ‘Hammers’ have had the better of their more illustrious rivals, in recent years.
Today, however, things are slightly in favour of Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool team.
An impressive mid-week victory in the Europa League and West Ham’s indifferent form this season points to a defeat when Liverpool visit.
Former Liverpool striker, Andy Carrol who now plays for West Ham is in contention to start.
Liverpool striker Daniel Sturridge could feature, he has a good goal scoring record against today’s opponents scoring 5goals.
Newcastle will host Bournemouth today in what is a must-win match for Newcastle manager Rafael Benitez.
However, it is tomorrow’s “Super Sunday’ clashes that will appeal to most.
The top 5 sides will be in action on Sunday 5th November.
Tottenham will host struggling Crystal Palace at the Wembley stadium.
The Palace side is relegation-threatened, but a last-minute equalizer against West Ham last weekend is surely a step in the right direction.
Their host are on a high after beating Real Madrid 3-1 mid-week, they have all of Europe watching them now.
After a poor start to the season, striker Harry Kane is in fine form for Spurs, in the EPL, and would look to him to add on more misery to Crystal Palace.
Manchester City vs Arsenal:
This seasons trailblazers are always in a mood to score. Manchester City is dominant in possession and with technically gifted players they make football seem so easy.
Their opponents on the day, Arsenal are not as feared as they once were.
This match years ago would have easily been won by Arsenal, but times and fortunes have changed and it is Arsenal who are the underdogs in this fixture.
Currently 5th on the log, Arsenal would seek to do what no team has done this season in the league, and that is out-score Manchester City in a match.
Chelsea vs Manchester United:
Jose Mourinho faces his former club Chelsea on Sunday, with so many sub-plots in the mix.
During the summer transfer window, Lukaku was reportedly on his way to Chelsea and then ended up signing for Jose’s Man. U side.
Chelsea also let Matic join Manchester United, and he could feature against his former club.
Chelsea’s new striker Alvaro Morata has a similar goal percentage to Lukaku, so it is left to which striker would have the upper hand in the game.
The current champions, Chelsea would need to dig deep against their host, as Mourinho knows the team very well, having worked with most of the current players before.
The final game in the EPL on Sunday is Everton facing Watford.
