Best FIFA Football Awards 2017:Stars Come Out

This year’s FIFA Football awards will hold on the 23rd of October at the London Palladium.

It is the second edition of the governing body’s award night which started after FIFA’s Ballon d’Or partnership with France Football ended 2years ago.

Cristiano Ronaldo claimed the top prize at the maiden edition last year, after Portugal’s EURO exploits.

The awards to be handed out tonight will include:

The Best FIFA Men’s Player

Fifa best three

Out of the initial 24 man list drawn up, it is going to be decided, unsurprisingly between 3 men – Ronaldo, Messi and Neymar Jr.

In this calendar year Ronaldo has 45 goals in 48 appearances, and oh yes he won the Champions League and La Liga.

Messi has 49 goals in 50 appearances this year (AMAZING!); however on the national front it’s been a stutter.

Neymar was the center piece of the transfer window with a world record fee, enjoying life at PSG presently.

The Best FIFA Football Coach Award

This section is divided into Male and Female. For Male:

The finalist here include Massimo Allegri, for winning the Seria A and Coppa with Juventus.

Chelsea’s Charismatic Manager Alberto Conte, for taking the League title with gusto.

Zinedine Zidane for delivering Real Madrid’s 1st league title in 5years, and the Champion’s League.

For Female:

Gerard Precheur is nominated for winning the Champions League, the French League Cup and the French Cup with Lyon.

Nils Nielsen, who guided her side Denmark to the final against Holland in this year European Championships.

Sarina Wiegman makes the list after leading Holland to the 2017 European championships.

The Best FIFA Goalkeeper Award

Every year it seems his name pops up, Juventus’ talismanic keeper ‘Gigi’ Buffon. Others are Bayern Munich’s Manuel Neur and Real Madrid’s Keylor Navas

The Puskas Award

This award is for the best goal scored in the course of the season, and some great ones were scored, but the best 3:

Deyna Castellanos of Venezuela women’s side.

South African goalkeeper Oscarine Masuluke.

Oliver Giroud of Arsenal.

The Best FIFA Fan award

FC Copenhagen fans: After seeing their side win the title, the trophy was passed to a fan in a wheelchair.

Borussia Dortmund fans: Offering shelter to Monaco fans after the bomb attack to Dortmund’s team bus.

Celtic fans made the list for a stunning card display after the team won the league.

It does promise to be a night of pomp and pageantry. See you there!
